We’re so delighted that you’ve taken the time to look into letting us create a fabulous cake for you. We just have a few terms and conditions to make sure everything runs as smoothly as possible.

Ordering
​
We like to think our cake creations are little pieces of art, and even better than that, they’re totally edible too*. As each cake we make is unique to you, we don’t have a catalogue as such, just examples of past work. We therefore need your guidance with the type of theme you’d like.
We will gladly accept pictures of cakes as inspiration so we know we’re on the same page. Although, as the cake in the picture you send us is someone else’s work, out of respect we like to come up with our very own version so please do not expect exact replicas.
As each cake we make is handmade there will be slight variations from previous cakes made so will not be perfectly exact
We will try to accommodate any changes to the design up to 3 weeks prior to collection. Sometimes this isn’t possible due to parts that may have been ordered already.

Booking fee
​
When securing an order, we ask for a % of the cake cost as a booking fee. This is to cover the time spent on administration, planning and designing. Therefore as that work is done in the initial stages of a cake order it is non-refundable.
However, in the unlikely event we can’t fulfill your order, which has never happened and touch wood never will, we will refund you the amount you’ve paid to us.

Allergies
​
Unfortunately we don’t cater for allergies. It’s disappointing that we can’t create our cakes for everyone. From reading extensively on allergy safety and the fact we are constantly using allergen containing products, we don’t feel we can 100% guarantee no cross over. We take everybody’s health and safety very seriously, and never want to risk anyone’s health.
Our Cakes contain the following allergens:

We recommend finding a cake maker who specialises in allergies.

Collection
​
Please stick to the pre-arranged time for collection as we like to be all ready for you, and need to be ready for others collecting too. When coming to collect, please make sure there’s room in the boot. I will place the cake in your boot so you can check it over before you leave.
I know some will worry about the cake sliding around the boot, but these cakes are heavy things, fragile, but heavy. A little sliding is fine. Sitting on a slanted seat, or on someone’s poor lap, is not
Footwell is not ideal, but if you’re really desperate and it fits (most of the time they don’t fit) then its ok, but having heating or air conditioning on is a big NO.
Trust us on this one, we’ve made the mistakes so you don’t have to.

Disputes/refunds
​
We ask you to let us know immediately on collection if there’s anything wrong with the cake cosmetically. So it can be rectified.
We hope that everything is perfect with your cake, and do everything we can for it to be as amazing as possible. In the unlikely event something does go wrong please let us know straight away. Do not be offended if we ask lots of questions, it’s not us doubting you. We’re trying to figure out what has gone wrong.
A lot of hours go into each cake and as it’s a form of art, a lot of care, thought and concentration. It’s more to us than a cake. So it’s very disappointing for us as well as for you, so please be kind.
We ask for the whole cake to be brought back to us to assess. If no cake can be produced, unfortunately we will not be able to refund as this will be taken as the cake was fit for purpose.
As the cakes we make have a lot of sugar craft work, the price is based on this aspect more than the sponge. The refund will be 30% of the total cake amount, and we will supply you with a replacement sponge so you don’t miss out. Refund is subject to evidence of actual fault on our part.

Care of Cake
​
We give our cakes a 2 day shelf life due to the fact they contain dairy products in the fillings. This is for a cake left at room temperature.
The cake can go in the fridge after being displayed, but any decoration needs to be taken off or it will collapse as sugar absorbs the moisture in the fridge and they will be ruined. The cake will also need to be wrapped in the fridge as it will dry out the sponge.
Please keep in a cool dry room out of direct sunlight and away from sources of heat.
Sunlight fades colour on the cake.
Direct heat on the cake will spoil it
Sugar absorbs moisture in damp air, so decorations will sag and ruin.

*Non edible items
​
All of the work on the cakes are edible (unless stated differently when ordering), but the use of dowels, wiring or flower pics are needed for structural reasons. There placement will be noted on the box.
We ask you to make whoever will be cutting the cake aware of these.

Social media
​
We like to show off our work so others can see what we’re about. So Enchanted Cakes reserves the right to display pictures of the cake on any social media platform it requires. Although, this will be done after the date of the celebration so we don’t spoil the special reveal.
We would be so grateful if you can leave us a review on social media, as this helps us get our name out there. We work really hard to create special cakes, and we would love for others to know about your experience. We just ask that if you have had a problem, to inform us first and let us rectify it.

GDPR
​
We do not hold any information on you other than contact details. As payments are made through bank transfer we do not hold bank or payment details either.
We delete any pictures you send us 7 days after cake pick up, and we will never share these pictures.
